MAT CATS Youth Wrestling Club - 1st PRACTICE THIS TUESDAY JAN 6th.

- Congratulations
to the JV Team - on winning a Lion's Share of medals at the first ever WC Round Robin - full
list of medalists is listed on the Roster link.
- SHERANDO & CENTRAL HOME TRI this Tuesday Jan 6th!- The Varsity and JV will host their first district matches of the year this Tuesday Jan
6th. Wrestling starts at 5pm - Get out and support the Cats at Home! Varsity will be away this weekend at the Ram Rumble
Jan 10th. Itinerary is now posted on the Varsity link for both events.
- JV EVENTS THIS WEEK - The Junior Varsity has a big week of events. 1st this Tuesday they will be at home vs Sherando/Central.
Wednesday they will be at Stonewall Jackson (Quicksburg) for a Quad, and Saturday the will be at Stafford for a JV Tournament.

- Varsity
seals top 10 finish at Kiwanis Tournament (PA) The Cats travel to PA for the annual Kiwanis Tournament Dec 29/30.
The cats had thier third top 10 finish in 3 years coming in 10th out of 22 teams. The Cats had a rough start but
came on strong finishing with 5 placewinners - Spencer Bunce (3rd -who became the Cats first two time medalist), Matt Morningstar
(3rd), Jared Moore (5th), Jeremy Robinson (6th), and Gage Steele (8th-the first ever Freshman to place in Kiwanis for the
Cats). The tournament was one of the toughest in recent years with Wyoming Seminary (nationally ranking
winning the title. But the cats improved on placewinners (increasing by 1) and number of wins as a team (increasing
by 5) from last season. Great JOB CATS! The Cats are back in action on Jan 6th at Home vs Sherando and Central.
- Brentsville Match Postponed to Jan 27th - The Varsity and JV match waspostponed due to weather. The makeup date will be January 27th - now
at home! Wrestling starts at 5pm.
