Donation Box
For all Parents/family we will be putting out an equipment and clothing box next week. This is a box in the locker room that wrestlers can donate old shoes, clothes, equipment, or any wrestling gear that they have outgrown or won't use anymore. We clean everything and add it to the wrestling room for all the wrestlers to use in the future. If you ask the wrestlers - this is a major resource that all the team use. So please if you are able to donate anything please send it in! We appreciate the help.

Get your Warren County Wrestling Gear!! - This year we have a new way to get WC wrestling gear, starting today. We have partnered with Squad locker, which is a website that sells all our spirit wear from all types of clothes, to bags, to blankets to hats - everything. There is no minimum order and all items will be delivered directly to you. There is also no date this ends. We will be running the store all the way through next year. So you can order gear now, for the season, for Christmas, anytime. All items purchase will support WC Wrestling directly. Its a great gift for wrestlers, family, and alumni alike! Spring Workouts & Information now Week 2 now posted!
The AT-HOME Spring workouts are now posted!
Week 2 workouts are posted for Monday - Friday on the Next Level Club link. They will be body weight exercises and running to keep athletes working towards their goals!
The Mental Mondays (which starts today April 6) will be posted on the Coach's Corner Link and will give some tips and info on keeping their minds sharp. All kids also still have access to their hudl accounts and can keep reviewing video all spring!

Next Level Club Closed - Info and Event schedules
The Spring Session of the next level club is currently closed as all schools and facilities have been shut down due to the current health crisis. All info and schedules will be updated and soon as any new information is made available. We are holding out positive hope that the summer session will be able run as scheduled. We thank all parents and wrestlers for their patience and support.
The first priority will always be the safety and health of our wrestlers and families.

Banquet Thank you!
Thank you so much for a great end of season and banquet last night!! Thank you to all the wrestlers, family members and friends who came out to celebrate the season. What a great wrestling family we have and what a great season it was this year. The Varsity team had 4 event titles, 19 team wins, and a Top 10 in the state for the fifth straight year! The JV team scored top 10 in a varsity tournament and were the JV District Champs!
Next Level Wretling preseason workouts underway Sept and Oct
The next level wrestling club preseason workout start this week (Sept 3). It runs Tuesdays and Thursdays after school 3-4:30. There are also some great fall events. Check out the next level links for all the details!

Physical Forms Information
The season is fast approaching and you must have a VHSL physical form (dated after May 1 2019) to join the Middle or High School teams. A physical from last season does not work. Here is a link to the 2019 form - VHSL PHYSICAL - you can get one done at your doctor or at any urgent care in town!

Banquet - Thank You
A big thanks goes out to all the wrestlers and parents for another great banquet. It was a fantastic evening to honor all our wrestling, managers, and coaching staff. Pics and highlight video will be uploaded in the coming week! Thanks to the entire program!
Wildcats have top 10 finish in the state once again!
Congratulations to the Wildcat wrestlers who placed 8th as a team continuing their streak of top 10 finishes!. The Wildcats placed four wrestlers in the top six and all the wrestlers scored points for the team! What a great end to an awesome year. Full place winners will be posted on the roster link.
Equipment Turn in - Donation Box
All equipment should be tuned in this week. Lockers and locker room needs to be cleaned out and get info on the banquet and off season info.

For all Parents - we will be putting the donation box out this week. Halea Hose wins VA Girls Champsionships!
Congratulations to Halea Hose who won the VA Girls Championship at 112lbs. Halea went 5-0 with 5 pins to dominate the field. What an accomplishment! Great job Halea.
JV crowns two champs takes 5th in JV Super Regions!
The JV team had another great showing at the JV super regions. Without their full team the cats crowned two champs and 4 place winners to take 5th as a team. Congrats to the Champs Brennan Komelasky and Ty Boyles. Full List of place winners posted on the roster link. Go Cats!
Varsity takes 3rd in John Champe Tournament - has 12 place winners
Congratulations to the Varsity after a marathon week of wrestling the Cats took 3rd a a tough field of competition at the John Champe Tournament. The Cats only had 1 Champ Bobby Hunger but were able to post an impressive 12 place winners! Full results posted on the roster link - great job and go Cats!
WC Varsity defeats Skyline 35-33 on Senior Night
Congratulations to our five seniors Hunter Jost, Bobby Hunger, Nate Stoneberger, Jacob Wright, and Raphy Souza who were honored last night at our match vs Skyline. The seniors all came out with wins as the Varsity topped crosstown rival 35-33 in a great dual match! Congrats to the entire team and go cats!
Varsty goes 3-0 at Strasburg Quad
Due to the weather the Strasburg Duals were postponed till Monday. The Wildcats had a solid day going 3-0 defeating George Mason, Martinsburg WV, and Strasburg. Great job and Go Cats
JV wins the RMA Invitational
The JV team beat the snow and had a great Saturday as they claimed the RMA Invitational Team Championship. THe Wildcats had 5 champs and 8 place-winners to lead the event. The full list of placewinners will be posted on the roster link and the podium pics will be upload this week
Varsity goes 3-0 at first District Quad
The Varsity team goes 3-0 at their first District event of the year! The cats defeated M-Park, Culpeper, and William Monroe. Great job to the Varsity team and Go Cats!
Varsity and JV dominate the first weekend of 2019
The Varsity and JV both had great opening weekends of 2019. The JV hosted the own round robin and had a great night of wins and pins. The Varsity followed hosting the annual WC Invitational winning the team title, crowning 4 champs , and 12 placewinners. Congrats to both teams on a great start to the new year! Middle School competes at the Black Hawk Tournament
Congrats to the Middle School team who competed at the highly competitive Floyd T Binn Blackhawk tournament for the opening weekend of the year. The cats battled all day and wrestled tough. Full list of place winners will be posted on the middle school link this week.

Wildcats take third at Appalachian Duals
Congrats to the Varsity team who took third at the Appalachian Duals this past weekend. The Team went 3-0 on day one defeating Rappahannock, Osborn, and Fauquier. On day two the Cats defeated Patrick Henry in the opening round, lost to skyline in the semis, and then defeated fauquier and Patrick Henry again in the consis to take 3rd place. Great performance and a great month December for the Wildcats!

Northwestern District Team Champions!
The Varsity team had a fantastic weekend of wrestling as they captured the Northwestern District TItle for the 2nd year in a row! This year the tournament was held in December to combine the 3A and 4A teams together. The cats put together a fantastic run as they had two champs, 6 finalists, and had 13 overall place winners! What a great title for the wildcats! Full list of place winners is up on the roster link and podium pics will be posted this week!

Sherando Duals Team Champions!
After two days of hard fought duals the Varsity team were crowned Sherando Duals Champions for the third year in a row! In day one the cats faced the top pool defeating Briar Woods and Millbrook, but losing to Amherst on the final match. In day two the Cats face a tough bracket defeating Centerville in round one, Tuscarora in the quarters, John Champe in the semis, and (avenging the loss from day one) Amherst 40-39 in the finals.
It was an incredible team effort - congrats to the entire team!

Middle School Great Showing at Skyline Tournament
Great Job to our Middle School team who had their first individual tournament this past Saturday. In a big field the cats had a great showing placing numerous wrestles on the podium. The full results are up on the middle school link. Great job to all wrestlers!

Congrats to both Coach Wadas and Coach Billy who have reached 300 wins in their career at Warren County! What an achievement - great job!!
Varsity and JV have great first event at WC Duals
Congrats to both the Varsity and JV Teams on their performance at the WC Duals. The JV started the day by winning a lion's share of their matches. The Varsity followed going 4-1 on the day capturing the team runner up trophy. The Wildcats defeated Culpeper, Rock Ridge, North Stafford, and Oakton - only losing to team champion James Woods by three. Congratulations to both teams and go Cats!!

Thank you to all the parents who helped at the WC Duals at the concessions and hospitality room. We appreciate the support and all the help to make our first event a successful one!
Varsity and JV have great showing at Benefit match!
This past Wednesday the Wildcats hosted the annual benefit match at Warren County High School. The JV cats started off the night winning a majority of the matches with some great pins! The Varsity followed with a solid 44-24 victory over Handley .
Thanks to Handley for coming out for our annual benefit match and keeping the tradition going! Cats are back in action on Saturday with the WC Duals!
Middle School gets first win of the season!
Congrats to the middle school team who netted their first win of the season in a tri match with Warm Spring and Charlestown. The cats have came up just short in the warm springs match in a great dual then came out with their first victory over charlestown.
Great job to all the cats on a great season so far! Cats are back in action tonight away 5pm!

Wildcats get 600th win as a program
With the win vs Centerville last season the Wildcat Wrestling program has reached a huge milestone. The team has won its 600th win as a program. The cats started in 1975 and went until 1985 where the cats team was lost for a year (due to lack of coaches). Charlie Dodge restarted the program in 1986 and he and Coach Seemiller helped the team rise to a power in the state of VA. For more info on the history click on the history and hall of Fame links! Congratulations goes out to all the coaches, wrestlers, and alumni. None of this could be possible with out so many contributing to an unbelievable wrestling family. Go Cats!!

Next Level takes 8th at Freestyle Duals
The Next Level wrestling club sent their annual freestyle team to the Skyline Duals. The club had a great showing taking 8th as a team! Congratulations to all the members on a great performance. Brad Adams, Aidan Ward, Halea Hose, Dylan Becker, Hunter Jost, Iain Brannock, Bobby Hunger, Isaiah Frame, Brennan Komelasky, Wyatt Gill, and Austin ramey! Great job Cats
State Runners Up!!
The Varsity team had their best finish in school history this year at the VA State tournament! The Cats brought 12 wrestlers and all scored for the team, placing a historic 8 wrestlers on the podium. What an unbelievable effort by the entire team - results are up on the roster link and pics are being posted this week. Congratulations to the entire team, coaches, and wrestling family on a historic season for the cats!
Wildcats win Region Title
The Wildcats captured back to back region titles as the team topped a strong field at Spotsylvania High School this past Saturday. The Cats placed all 14 wrestlers in the top 5 and are sending 12 to the state tournament. Congratulations to the entire team on a great weekend. Full place winners posted on the roster link. Wildcats win District Title
The Wildcats traveled to Liberty High School this past Saturday for the 2018 Northwestern District Tournament. The Cats put 10 wrestlers in the finals, coming out with 6 champs, and having all 14 wrestlers place in the top 4. Congratulations to the entire team on a great weekend of wrestling. JV wins Page Quad - Goes undefeated on the year!
The JV ended their season at a Quad this past Thursday. The Cats defeated Page County, Grace Christian, and Central HS. The JV team finished the season 6-0 at duals, The RMA Invitational Champs and the 2018 JV Super Regional Champs! What a year for the team!

JV Team wins the JV Super Regional!!
The JV team rallied together for two days in one of the toughest JV events in the state - JV Super Regions. The team took the lead after the semis finals and never relinquished as the cats won their 4th JV region title in 5 years. The cats had 4 finalist and 6 place winners as almost all the wrestlers scored points for the team. Individual place winners can be found on the roster link and pics in the album below. Varsity goes 2-0 this week with big win over rival Skyline
The Varsity team had 2 mid week duals this week and won both. The first was a hard fought battle between us and rival Skyline where the cats won 49-21. The second was a road trip to Musselman, WV where the cats defeated the appleman 76-6. The cats finish the regular season 31-1 and head into the post season next week!

Wildcats win Get Your Bell Run Duals at Woodgrove
The Wildcats traveled to Woodgrove for a unique series of Duals where the CHampionship was determined by total number of pins. The Cats defeated Centerville, Riverside, Clarke County, and RE Lee to advance to the finals vs Woodgrove. The cats dominated the pins and won the team championship! 100 Wins club
The Wildcats have had the most wrestlers enter the 100 wins club in a single season this year. Congratulations goes out to Hunter Jost, Bobby Hunger, Connor Jost, Wyatt Gill, and DJ Almarode. What a unbelievable achievement cats!

Varsity wins Freedom duals!
The Varsity team faced a strong test this weekend at the Freedom Duals. The cats defeated Potomac Falls, Stonewall Jackson (Manassas) and King George to reach the semis. The Cats then defeated John Champe in the semis and a great dual with Freedom in the finals to claim the title. JV dominates RMA Invitational
The JV team traveled to RMA for their annual Invitational this weekend. The WIldcats dominated from start to finish bringing home a lion share of the medals. The cats had 4 champs and 7 place winners to lead the way. Full results are posted on the roster link. Great job to the entire team - go cats!!
Middle School ends a great first season, 3rd in NVJL!
The Middle school ended a great first season in the new school with a 3rd place finish at the NVJLS. The cats had a huge number of medals including 2 champions - Hunter Martin and Logan Schultz. Middle School season has great end - lots of opportunities left to wrestle
This i the final week of middle school wrestling but there are lots of wrestling opportunities left. All 8th graders are invited to come to the high school for the final weeks of January to participate in some JV wrestling. All middle schoolers can also take part in the local parks and rec raptors team for front royal. Coach O will have all the information out this week. Go Cats!
Varsity Wins WC Invitational!
The Varsity team had another great weekend grabbing the team title at the WC Invitational with 6 champions and 6 place winners. The Cats edged out 6A Colgan HS who took 2nd, Riverbend, 3rd and Lake Braddock 4th. Full list of place winners on the roster link and podium pics will be posted in the pics album below. Great Job Cats!
Middle School places four at the Blackhawk tournament
The Middle School attended the FLoyd T Binn Blackhawk tournament this weekend. The cats had a solid day placing 4 with 1 champion. Logan Schultz took home the lone title at 170lbs, Hunter Martin was a runner up at 152, Elijah Frame was 3rd at 94, and Michael Coffron took 4th at 88lbs. Great job to all the place winners and the entire team!

Varsity takes runner up at Appalachian Duals
The Wildcats battled before break in a two day dual tournament at Skyline High School. The cats won their first day pool defeating Buchanon Upshire (WV), Lake Braddock, and Fauquier. On day two the Cats won the quarter final match vs Rock Ridge, Semis vs Skyline and lost a great dual to 5A Patrick Henry (Roanoke) 36-33 in the finals. It was a great battle for the team and a great event! Cats ar back in action after the new year at home in the WC Invitational. Go Cats!
Varsity wins Turner Ashby Invitational
The Wildcats had a great showing at the annual TA Invitational this past weekend. The team was victorious, winning the team title over a 19 team field including runner up Poquoson and 3rd place Liberty High School. The team brought home four champs, nine medalist, and fifteen total place winners. What a great weekend. Pictures are posted on the slideshow below and individual results are up on the roster link. Middle School takes 6th in first ever hone Dual Tournament
The wildcats Middle school had another strong showing this weekend hosting their first ever WCMS Duals. With a number of starters out the cats rallied to place 6th out of 10 teams. Great effort Cats!! Congrats to all the team members and parents for making it a successful event!
Wildcats win the Sherando Duals!
The Varsity traveled to Sherando for their annual duals this past Friday. The duals was changed to one day due to weather but the cats rallied together on the LONG day and grabbed the team title, their 2nd of the year. The cats defeated Oakton, John Champe, and Briar woods in pool competition, then defeated Brooke Point in the semifinals and Chantilly in the finals. Great Job to the entire team - Go Cats!!
Wildcats win the WC Duals team championship!
The Varsity & JV teams began the season winning their first title of the year! the JV lead the way at the start of the day racking up a huge number of individual wins in their round robin. The Varsity followed defeating Culpepper, James Wood, Rock Ridge, North Stafford, and Oakton to take the WC Duals team title. James wood was the runner up team. Congratulations to all the kids on a great start to the season!!

The Varsity & JV teams traveled to Handley on Monday for our annual benefit match. The JV got some great mat time and posted some solid wins. The Varsity won 62-12 and had a good showing for the first time out on the mat. A big thanks goes out to Handley for continuing the tradition! Great job and Go Cats!
Middle School wins first ever rivalry match!
The Middle School defeated Skyline Middle in the first ever rivalry match last night 64-54! The gym was packed with fans and the match came down to the final bout - it was a great event for both teams. Great job WCMS!
